"Jesus Christ Super-scarred" - from a review of the cinema art: "The Passion"

noon on Golgotha
heights a self
fulfilling prophesy
the cross up
the sunflowers already folded

the hill bone dry
and a rat rushes
the unrecognizable mass

a black spider
with a scarlet marking
tracks up the cross

a scorpion scales the post
scuttles across the bloodied backbeam
its crusty claws and thorax
rub against the grain

in the aftershock
the hissing heats up
the skull summit
spiders weave at the corners
scorpions build a nest in a thorny crown
a raven caws gutting from the gash

midday nailed upside down
like a charmed hourglass turned
on its head draining down
the sudden darkness settles in for the day
and midnight snacks on the high noon
as the spider devours its pale prey
in full moon light
Judas dangles
from a rope

a rabid canine makes a pit stop
howling warp like a hyena
laughing stationed at the foot
of a cross crook'd by the quake

rigor mortis in the raw
bagged in a blacken-blue silhouette
a tightly coiled king crowns the apex
its hood snaps open
in the dead air
the gloom rises above the ocassion
to unveil the corpus christi
mounted under a marquee of super starlight

and it is only the 9th hour
3 in the after
noon on Golgotha
